Project Estimating: Determining Realistic Time and Cost Estimates
A project’s success is often measured by the team’s ability to deliver a defined set of outcomes on time, on budget, and on specification. More importantly, however, is the team’s ability to successfully manage the expectations of the groups and individuals who have a vested interest in the outcome of the project. In simpler terms, this means that the project team must effectively align the project delivery with expectations of key stakeholders.
Project Estimating: Determining Realistic Time and Cost Estimates is a Web’n Learn session designed to provide project team members and participants with better ways to successfully define and estimate the schedule and cost factors of a project with more precision.
Participants will learn how to:
- Better identify and articulate elements of a project that represent components of project estimates
- Effectively estimate project timelines and costs with greater precision and accuracy using proven schedule, and budget estimating techniques
- Account for uncertain (“known unknowns” and “unknown unknowns”) when formulating a project schedule and budget
